Types of Hydraulic Filtration Media Offered by SCI

Filtration requirements vary by system and industry, so the right filtration media matters.

SCI offers elements and media from multiple manufacturers capable of meeting a wide range of performance objectives:
  • Glass Fiber Z media (1–25 µm absolute): These hydraulic filtration elements are ideal for systems requiring high-efficiency filtration and consistent cleanliness levels. Schroeder Z media Glass fiber consistently provides the exceptional dirt-holding capacity and low initial pressure drop as determined by ISO 16889 multi-pass testing. Exceeding industry competition.
  • Stainless Steel Mesh (10–300 µm nominal): These hydraulic filtration elements are perfect for heavy-duty and reusable applications. It offers high collapse options where mechanical strength is required and easy cleaning for long-term cost savings. Suitable for hydraulic and gases N2 & H2 systems.
  • Sintered Metal Fiber (5, 10, 25 µm nominal): Suited for high-temperature or high-viscosity fluids, the porous structure of these filter cartridges ensures stable performance even in extreme environments. Suitable for hydraulic and gases N2 & H2 systems.
  • Cellulose Paper Media (5–25 µm nominal): A cost-effective option for low-pressure or auxiliary filtration requirements, these hydraulic filtration elements offer reliable contamination control.
  • Water Absorbent Media: Multi-layer media consisting of dual particle removal media and a middle layer advanced super adsorbent sheet polymer for free water absorption.
